温泉と私 #78 「湯けむりの旅北海道(76湯)」振り返り

温泉研究家、松田忠徳氏が1987年に新聞連載記事を単行本にした「湯けむりの旅北海道(76湯)」をシリーズでお伝えしてきました。

この７６湯について少し振り返って見たいと思います。


★：廃業（長期休業含む）20ヶ所をご覧になられ、温泉ファンの方は、懐かしく思い出されたことと思います。

廃業になった理由のなかには、自然災害、道路新設のための立ち退きや希少鉱物の発見もあります。

また、後継者がいないための廃業もあります。


今回ご紹介した７６湯すべてが我が家の思い出です。

廃業２０湯の中で我が家で印象に残っているのは「オンネトー湯の滝」です。

娘を背負って雪道を歩いて行ったこと、自然が作る造形美のなか温泉入浴する事ができました。
そしてその後入浴禁止となりもう入浴できなくなってしまった点です。


また、４年前に亡くなった母がこよなく愛した「トムラウシ温泉東大雪荘」も忘れることができません。

すっかりご無沙汰しているトムラウシ温泉ですが、是非また訪ねてみたいと思っています。


そして最近SNSで蘭越町の新見本館の建物一部が倒壊との情報を得ました。

我が家でも何度も通った名湯だけに再開に期待したいと思います。



気になる温泉があるときは行ける時行っておく！

これに限りますね。



話しは変わりますが、私は鉄道研究家・愛好家が集まる「北海道鉄道観光資源研究会」に所属しています。

「北海道鉄道観光資源研究会」は今ある鉄道、かつてあった鉄道、おもちゃの鉄道。
これらを再び磨いて光をあてる取り組みを目指しています。

研究会にはいくつかの部会があり、私は温泉部会長を努めさせていただいています。

温泉も年々廃業し減少し北海道の鉄路も廃線が進み危機的状況になっています。

何とかしてどちらも元気になっていただく方法はないか、いつも考えてきました。

研究会ではいろいろな活動を実施していますが、来月（11月）、１０日（土）、11日（日）の二日間、道庁赤れんが庁舎２階にて北海道150年事業応援企画として「展示博覧会」を実施いたします。

その中で研究会各部会に活動を紹介するパネル展示を行います。

また、温泉部会では11/10（土）15:30～17:00、道庁赤れんが庁舎２階二号会議室に於いて「温泉」に関したパネルディスカッションを開催予定です。

入場無料で、温泉無料入浴券や特産品が当たるお楽しみ抽選会もあります。

「鉄道＆バスで行く　新・湯治の旅」
～環境省提唱「新・湯治」に適応した新しい時代の温泉地活性化策と健康増進について～

３週間ほど宿に逗留し行っていた昔タイプの「湯治」・・・


新しい時代の湯治、「新・湯治」とはどのようなもので、北海道の温泉地の中で適しているのはどこでしょうか？

それは温泉の専門家のみならず多方面の専門家の助言が不可欠です。
